We need energetic, enthusiastic people to join our volunteer team! Help Rockford’s History Museum bring the past to the present. Whatever your special talent or area of expertise, there is a spot for your on our team!  We are always looking for:


Special events volunteers
To sell memberships and event tickets, greet customers or assist at the Front Desk during events.

Wednesday Volunteers
To join our Workshop, Textile, and Collections Area volunteers meet every Wednesday morning for a brief meeting and then spend the morning working on various interesting projects.

Living History Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers to join our Living History Society and Jr. Interpreter program.  These volunteers bring history alive by dressing in period clothing and interpreting life as it was at the turn of the century.

Village Beautification Volunteers
Help with landscaping, decorating the village, or help our Garden Historian create and maintain our beautiful gardens.

Operations Support Volunteers
Volunteers are always needed with special projects such as data entry, manning Marketing information booths, mailings, preparing supplies, sewing, or delivering posters.
