Do I need an appointment to view facilities?
No, we are open from 10 am to 4 pm Tues-Sat., You may stop in to visit at anytime. Stop at the front desk to alert them that you are here and they will direct you to our different venues. Saturdays, from March-October are sometimes difficult due to current rentals but usually early in the day (before noon) most areas can be viewed.
How do we reserve an area if we are interested?
Please call Fran at ext. 114 and she can assist with available dates etc. Once we have information, we will send you a contract that will need to be signed and returned to us with your non-refundable deposit which is generally half the rental fee. The remainder of rental fee and other fees for damage deposit and alcohol fees (if any) will be due 30 days before event.
Do you allow food to be brought in?
We require a licensed cater and/or food purchased from a licensed facilty – in other words – nothing prepared in your own kitchen with the exception of snack chips, cookies, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. Food must be brought in ready to serve – we have a prep kitchen only in the museum facility and no kitchen in the barn thus no warming units.
What is included with the rental price?
We provide the chairs and tables for the lakeview rooms, the hotel and the barn. You are responsible for your own chair rental for the gazebo. We do not provide anything else i.e. table coverings, dishes, coffee pots etc. You or your caterer will need to provide all those items.
What hours can we rent the facility?
We are open for rentals from 9 am until midnight. Everything and everyone must be cleared out by midnight. This would include anyone such as a D.J., caterer, decorator etc. that is associated with your event. The time on your contract is the time you are allowed in area and out of area. Set-up and clean up must be included in your rental time.
Does the barn have heat or air conditioning?
Is someone on staff during my rental time?
Yes, we have maintenance on for entire time of rental.
May our guests tour the museum center or village?
The museum center and village are not included with most rentals. Guests may walk through the village but are not allowed in any (non-rental) buildings without our staff. Arrangements can be made if you would like your guests to have a tour possible at a nominal charge.
What are the dimensions of the tables used for events?
We have 60 in. round tables that seat 8 each in all of our rental areas. We also have a number of 8ft rectangular tables in the lakeview and barn for your other needs.
